GRACEWORKS

GraceWorks Director- Tammy Clinger, with her husband Paul

Hope WalkerHello, my name is Tammy Clinger, and this is my husband, Paul. We have been married for 16 years and currently live in Middleburg. Paul and I have been foster parents for 15 years, and we have always had the passion and desire to work with the community and mentor those who were struggling or just having a rough time. God led us to GCCC two years ago and since then has put the desire of GraceWorks on my heart. The GraceWorks Ministry offers support to those in our community who are in need of food. We also offer financial help to those in need, as we are able. It is our desire that all those we come in contact with will experience the love of God as we show compassion and provide for their everyday needs. “Then the world will know that You sent Me and will understand that You love them as much as You love Me.” John 17:23b GCCC and God have given me this opportunity as GraceWorks Director, and I have been enjoying every moment. God continues to open many doors for GraceWorks outreach, and I am excited to see where His love will take this ministry.

GraceWorksVolunteersGraceWorks is also the ministry that sorts all clothing and other donations for our Labor of Love Thrift Store. We have an awesome team of volunteers that serves week after week and helps make GraceWorks a success. Without their loving hearts and dedication, this ministry would not be possible. (Please note: the picture above only represents a portion of our volunteer team).

GraceWorks is open the second Monday of each month from 11 am-3 pm. Appointments for food distribution are appreciated; please call 570-837-7432 to request an appointment for the food pantry. Our schedule for 2013 will be as follows: January 14th, February 11th, March 11th, April 8th, May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, August 12th, September 9th, October 14th, November 18th and December 9th.

We continue to welcome donations and are very grateful for your help in serving our community. Donations may be dropped off during these hours, or you may arrange another time to drop items off by calling the church at 570-837-5809. Please be sure to call ahead to ensure that someone is available to receive your donations. If you would like to serve in this area or if you are in need of help, please contact me.

Ron and Betty SmayGraceWorks Clothing Directors- Ron & Betty Smay

Ron and I have been married for 49 years and have three married children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. We have always been members of a church, but about nine years ago, we believe, God led us to GCCC, and we love it! God has also led us to do volunteer work with the clothing ministry of GraceWorks. I, along with other volunteers, sort and organize all incoming donations to be distributed to our Labor of Love Thrift Store. Ron is our “do it all guy,” from getting clothing racks donated to building shelves, and just helping wherever he can. If you would like to help sort and fold clothing, please contact tclinger@verizon.net. Volunteers are always needed!
