General life coaching can benefit anyone. Life coaches can be beneficial for everything from common problems like difficult decisions and stress management, to major life crises like depression, divorce, or addiction. A life coach can work with you and other members of your support team to do the daily task of creating and walking out your action plan for success! Kim has worked with a diverse clientele over the past eight years, from business professionals and church leaders to people in prison and on probation. No life is perfect and no life is hopeless!
A life coach is not a therapist, but rather a partner in accountability, inspiration, and personal and spiritual growth. A life coach will help you to realize and achieve your goals. A life coach will encourage you and give a positive outlook in times of trouble. A life coach will be someone to help you break through the bondages and mental and emotional blocks that keep you from moving forward.
All situations are unique, but most often we find that our current relationship issues stem from personal pain and past experience. We will work on understanding the root of the problem and developing better communication, mutual respect, boundaries, and forgiveness. It takes two people to have a relationship, whether it is a work relationship, marriage, or parent/child. When our focus is on "fixing" the other person, our results are usually disappointing. Creating an environment of "self-awareness" and mutual love, respect, and teamwork is the best recipe for success!
Most people believe that our emotions or "feelings" are always true and accurate, but the truth is...sometimes our feelings LIE to us! Our thoughts and belief systems generate our feelings, so if what we think or believe is wrong, the feelings that come from that will also be wrong, inappropriate, or disproportionate to what is actually happening. This is the basis for my approach in dealing with depression and anxiety. The Word of God tells us repeatedly that the battle is in our mind (take captive every thought, renew your mind daily).
What we do repeatedly becomes a habit. What we do habitually becomes an addiction. Anything we do repetitively to "make ourselves feel better" can become an addiction. Breaking the bondage of addiction requires intense work and relapse is a common occurrence. Uncovering the issues and pain that fuel "the need to feel better" is the best plan of action. Then we can work on forgiveness, emotional healing, healthy coping skills, and impulse control.
The cost for life coaching is $20.00 for the initial consultation and $40.00 for each one-hour session.
