I was not a coffee drinker–in fact, I actually hated it! But I loved coffee shops. I loved the atmosphere, the way everybody knew everybody else’s name and the way that they shared their lives and cared about each other. Even though I didn’t like coffee, it seemed to me like a great way to bring a small town together, to build community and to serve each other. And that is why Common Grounds Café exists. The good news is that in the process of opening CGC I discovered that I did like coffee! There is a difference between GOOD coffee and coffee most people are used to drinking. So part of our goal here at CGC is to provide the Middleburg area with unique and excellent food and drink options not available elsewhere. We know you will love our locally roasted coffees from around the world, our delicious multi-grain paninis, our in-house sides and delectable desserts as well as our Turkey Hill and Rakestraw’s hand-dipped ice creams. And don’t forget to try one our new breakfast scrambles. Remember breakfast is the most important meal of the day! While you’re here, feel free to use our free Wi-Fi service or take a break on our couch to read or chat with a friend.
